Your Neighborhood Preschool Since 1971

Play and Learn Nursery School opened in 1971. So did Walt Disney World in Orlando. Both have stood the test of time, educated young children, sparked their imaginations, and brought families closer together over parts of six decades. Miss Joann (one of our founders who remains active in our school to this day) and her staff welcomed 17 students that first year. Fifty-five years later, we have served thousands of kids and their families from across Northeast Ohio.

Today, our families know us as Play and Learn Preschool. But the foundational values of our owners, Miss Joann and Miss Treena, remain the same. Our entire team of educators is community-driven to teach young children to believe in themselves and enrich the world around them. A love for education lives on year after year, generation after generation – we have many families who now have their third generation in our school. Our roots run deep, and our branches grow higher with each passing year.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Technology moves us faster than it did in 1971. Many fashion trends have come and gone. It was once considered healthy to drink coffee, then it wasn’t, now it is again. The “experts” often change their minds. What’s been consistent through the years is the kids. Kids are still kids. Full of wonder, enthusiasm, and love.
